AutoKeep vs Drivvo

A free, privacy-first Drivvo alternative for iPhone

Short version: If you want a Drivvo-style vehicle log on iPhone without ads, without an account, and without your data ending up in someone else's cloud, AutoKeep is built for you. Fully free, no in-app purchases, 100% on-device.

Why people look for a Drivvo alternative

Drivvo is one of the most established vehicle-tracking apps and does the basics well — fuel log, service history, reminders. Drivers searching for an alternative usually want one of three things: no ads, no account, or a stronger privacy story. AutoKeep is designed around exactly those constraints.

Side-by-side

How AutoKeep approaches the same problems Drivvo solves:

  • Cost: AutoKeep is fully free. No premium tier, no subscription, no in-app purchases.
  • Account: AutoKeep requires no sign-up, no email, no login. You install and start tracking.
  • Data location: AutoKeep stores everything locally on your iPhone with iOS FileProtection.complete encryption. No cloud, no server, no backup that we can read.
  • Ads & tracking: AutoKeep contains no ads and no analytics SDKs. Zero third-party trackers.
  • Reminders: AutoKeep supports three triggers simultaneously — by date, mileage, and engine hours — and fires on the first that hits.
  • Cost of ownership: AutoKeep computes true TCO (purchase price + depreciation + every recorded cost) as a single number.
  • Export: PDF, CSV, and a full ZIP archive including attachments — yours to take anywhere.
  • Multi-vehicle: Unlimited vehicles in one garage with isolated history each.

What AutoKeep does not do

AutoKeep doesn't try to be everything Drivvo is. We are honest about it:

  • No cloud sync between devices. If you want your records on two phones, you'll need to import a backup ZIP.
  • iOS only. There is no Android or web version.
  • No social features. No public profiles, no fuel-price sharing, no leaderboards.

For drivers who use Drivvo because of cross-device sync or fuel-price crowdsourcing, AutoKeep won't replace those features. For drivers who use Drivvo despite the ads, the account, or the cloud — AutoKeep is the cleaner answer.

How to switch

  1. Export your Drivvo data (Drivvo offers CSV/Excel export in their app settings).
  2. Install AutoKeep from the App Store.
  3. Add each vehicle in AutoKeep and re-enter the records you care about. There is currently no automatic Drivvo importer — most users find that the switch is a good chance to clean up historical data.
  4. Keep your Drivvo CSV as a one-time backup. AutoKeep's exports take over from there.
